The Cattaraugus County Health Department confirmed a 74th case of the coronavirus Monday.
According to a press release issued by the county, the 74th confirmed case is a man who lives in the northeast quadrant of the county. He has no significant travel history and denies any contact with a known COVID-19 positive individual. The man has been asymptomatic and was tested for COVID-19 as part of a pre-op exam on Friday. His COVID-19 positive result came back Sunday, according to the press release.
The department has begun a thorough contact tracing on the individual.
There are six active COVID-19 cases in the county; 64 individuals have recovered, and four have died.
