Cattaraugus County confirmed its ninth case of the coronavirus Sunday morning.

According to a press release from Cattaraugus County Department of Health, the individual is a woman who lives in the southeastern part of the county. 

The woman, who tested for COVID-19 on April 3, was asymptomatic and did not have any significant travel history, but came into close contact with a COVID-19 positive person.

“The patient is resting at home, and now under quarantine with her family,” the release said. “She will be assessed for any medical support that we can provide and we will monitor her symptoms closely. The department will conduct a thorough contact tracing investigation for those individuals that she has been in contact with and the places that she visited.”
