Cattaraugus County reported its seventh case of the coronavirus Wednesday, according to a press release from the Cattaraugus County Health Department’s Facebook page.
The case is in the second in the southeastern corner of the county.
According to the release, a woman with no significant travel history was tested for COVID-19 on March 30 after being in close contact with a positive COVID-19 person. She was asymptomatic (no fever, no cough, no body aches). On March 31, her test indicated that she was positive for COVID-19.
The woman is resting at home, and now under quarantine with her family, the county said in the news release. She will be assessed for any medical support that the county can provide and the county will monitor her symptoms closely.
The health department will conduct a thorough contact tracing investigation for individuals that she has been in contact with and the places that she visited.
