CUBA, NY – Because of COVID-19, Cuba Memorial Hospital announced on Friday that it is restricting all visitation at the hospital and skilled nursing units until further notice due
Norma Kerling, chief executive officer of CMH, said the following regarding the decision:
“We are making these decisions to protect our elders, staff, patients and ultimately the community,” Kerling said.
Any patient seeking care at CMH’s urgent care center is asked to have no more than one adult/guardian accompany them.
According to CMH, patients entering the hospital also must use the urgent care entrance.
Exceptions to the visitors-restricted rule will be made for patients in end-of-life situations. Their visitors should call the hospital at (585) 968-2000 before arriving and should expect to be screened prior to entering the hospital.
