Nurses and staff members at both Olean General Hospital and Bradford Regional Medical Center have been through extra training information sessions and drills to prepare for potential surges in coronavirus cases, according to Upper Allegheny Health System’s Tuesday media release. 

In the Mildred Milliman Outpatient Surgery Center, across Main Street from OGH, members of the Cattaraugus County Emergency Medical Services, the Olean City Fire Department and the Olean-based Trans Am ambulance service  joined nurses and staff for a hands-on COVID-19 exercise. The release named EMS Medical Director Brian Walters, MD; EMS Director Chris Baker; EMS Coordinator Robert Kuhn.

At Bradford Regional Medical Center, Jill Owens, MD, reviewed COVID-19 protocols with nursing, respiratory, infection control and other emergency staff members, according to the release.
