Tents placed outside the emergency departments of Olean General Hospital and Bradford Regional Medical Center Tuesday will be operational next week.
The tents will be used for the quick triage of patients to ease the burden on both hospitals’ emergency departments, according to a statement issued by Upper Allegheny Health System, the parent company of Olean General and Bradford Regional.
“In anticipation of high patient surge, we are proactively erecting the tents outside the emergency departments to improve efficiency and better care for our patients,” UAHS president and CEO Jeff Zewe said.
