Tom Missel, chief communications officer for the university, responded to an email query from TAPinto Greater Olean and acknowledged that many students rely on the late-night shuttle, especially on weekends.

“These are unprecedented times, and everyone in the campus community will just have to be flexible to make the best of a difficult situation," he stated. "Obviously, going downtown or to the Walmart Plaza is an option ... staying in is an alternative. But there are other options, from getting a designated driver or an Uber, to simply dressing warmer for a walk downtown."

Missel concluded, "These are unprecedented times, and everyone in the campus community will just have to be flexible to make the best of a difficult situation."
