OLEAN, NY – Southern Tier Catholic School and Archbishop Walsh Academy will be closed Tuesday until April 13 as a precaution to the spread of the Coronavirus.

Thomas J. Manko, school president and principal, announced the closure on the school’s website and Facebook page. 

The school held an assembly Monday morning for grades 5-12 students and faculty to discuss the terms and conditions of the extended dismissal and online instruction requirements. The session for the K-4 students and faculty set for Tuesday will not take place.

For the duration of the closure, barring governmental prohibitions or recommendations, the building will be available from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. to any faculty and staff needing access to the building, and office and hourly workers are expected to maintain regular hours.
