At Olean General and Bradford Regional, visitors must be at least 17 years old, and visiting hours are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.

The visitation hours and age restriction are in effect for all patient care units including obstetrics. Exceptions will be made for those visiting patients receiving end-of-life or palliative care.

Both Norma Kerling, the CEO of Cuba Memorial, and Gail Bagazzoli, a chief nursing officer of the Upper Allegheny Health System, issued statements noting the measures were taken to ensure the health and safety of patients, staff and area residents.

“Anyone feeling ill for any reason should not come to the hospital to visit patients," Bagazzoli noted. "f you are coming to be seen in the Emergency Department (ED) as a patient, and you have a cough, difficulty breathing and fever, please put a mask on. Masks are provided when you enter the ED."

She added, "We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 and make changes as necessary to protect patients and staff."
