OLEAN, NY — The Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce is moving its Community-Wide Garage Sale from the end of May to June 20 and is encouraging signups be completed after May 15, after it confirms with the Cattaraugus County Health Department that the event can proceed.
“Our office has the utmost concern to our members, our vendors, any event attendees and the community at large," Meme K. Yanetsko, the GOACC's chief operating officer, stated in a press release. "Once we get the green light to go ahead with any/all of our events, we will proceed. On the same note, if we get a red light or a different way to host any event, by all means, we will abide by the restrictions.”
After May 15, persons interested in hosting a garage sale should register their address by mailing or dropping off garage sale information to the GOACC at 301 N. Union St., faxing the information to 716-372-7912 or emailing email@example.com.
The deadline to sign up is June 17 at noon. The fee for being marked on the event map is $5.
Maps depicting the locations of the garages sales will be available on June 19.
