Allegany Man Charged with DWI on Five Mile Road

ALLEGANY, NY -- An Allegany man was charged with DWI charges early Friday morning .

Jacob T. Hall, 27, was charged with first-offense Driving While Intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent or higher, both unclassified misdemeanors. The charges stem from a traffic stop on Five Mile Road by New York State Police.

National Guard Promotes Three from Greater Olean Area

LATHAM, NY -- The New York Army National Guard has promoted three individuals from the Greater Olean area.

Cole Baldwin of Cuba, who is assigned to Company A, 642nd Support Battalion, was promoted to private first class. 

Michelle Deyoe, also from Cuba, was promoted to specialist. Deyoe is assigned to the 222nd Military Police Company.

National Guard Promotes Olean Man

LATHAM, NY -- Donald Wheeler of Olean, a National Guard soldier assigned to the 152nd Engineer Support Company, has been promoted to the rank of Specialist.

Major General Anthony P. German, the Adjutant General for the State of New York, announced the promotion.

Army National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability and development potential.

Olean Man Honored for Military Service

OLEAN, NY -- U.S. Army Sgt. James H. Clark was honored on Saturday in a ceremony for his service in the Cold War from 1975 to 1979.
