Olean Police Seek Public's Help in Indentifying Man Involved In Burglary

OLEAN, NY – Police are seeking the community's assistance in identifying a man involved in a burglary at a food service trailer on Front and East State Street on Nov. 6.

Police Arrest Man Wanted for Criminal Contempt in Olean

NEW HUDSON, NY – Ted C. Ferris, who had an arrest warranty for criminal contempt in Olean, was arrested in New Hudson on Oct. 14 on a separate criminal contempt charge.

Police said Ferris, 61, was arrested after State Police troopers responded to a report of a dispute in New Hudson.

Ferris was arraigned in Friendship Town Court.

Hinsdale Man Arrested for Possession of Marijuana

OLEAN, NY - State troopers arrested a Hinsdale man for criminal possession of marijuana on Oct. 13.

James J. Fye Sr., 52, was arrested during a traffic stop on State Route 16 in Olean. Troopers said they discovered approximately two ounces of marijuana in Fye’s vehicle.

Fye was arrested and released with appearance tickets returnable to Olean City Court later this month.
