The New York State Police have temporarily suspended employment fingerprinting and child safety seat checks.
"Public safety is a mission priority for our Troopers," the state police said in a press release. "While we understand that suspending these services is an inconvenience to the public; this is an extraordinary circumstance. The State Police are committed to doing what we can to assist the State’s emergency response to COVID-19."
The State Police also remind those placing emergency calls to advise dispatchers of any household members experiencing flu-like symptoms.
The public will be notified when employment fingerprinting and child safety seat checks will be provided again. Updates will be posted to the New York State Police Newsroom as well as any the New York State Police's Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
