ATLANTA – The Atlanta Hawks have requested waivers on former St, Bonaventure Bonnie Jaylen Adams. The Hawks announced the move on July 13.

Adams averaged 3.2 points, 1.9 assists and 1.8 rebounds in 34 games with the Hawks last season. He made one start.

A 6-foot 2-inch guard, Adams played for the Hawks in the 2019 MGM Resorts NBA Summer League in Las Vegas

Adams signed a two-way contract with the Hawks on July 1, 2018, and split time between the NBA club and the Erie BayHawks of the NBA G League before signing a multi-year contract with the Hawks on Feb. 21.

In his four years at St. Bonaventure, Adams averaged 17.4 points, 5.4 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.5 steals. He was named a First Team Atlantic-10 player in each of his final three seasons.
