DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole and Giblin, LLP has announced that Arlene Quiñones Perez has been named to NJBIZ’s annual “40 Under 40” list, which honors business leaders under the age of 40 who have made a prominent impact in their industries and communities. Perez is an Equity Partner at the firm and also serves as the firm’s inaugural Director of Diversity and Inclusion.

An Alexandria Township resident based at the DeCotiis firm’s Teaneck office, Perez has a long history of professional achievements and a prominent record of political and community service. She previously served as President of the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey, and serves as the Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association Judicial & Prosecutorial Appointments Committee, and as a member of the state's Cannabis Law Committee. In 2018, she was appointed by Governor Murphy to the New Jersey Commission on Puerto Rico Relief. Perez’s political experience includes service as a Councilwoman in the Town of Clinton, New Jersey, as a member of the Town of Clinton's Board of Adjustment, and as an aide to the Governor and Attorney General of New Jersey. Perez earned a BA from Rutgers University and her law degree from Rutgers University School of Law, and she is the recipient of many awards, including being named on the PoliticsNJ 40 Under 40 Power List.

“We are proud, but not at all surprised, to learn that Arlene has received this deserving recognition,” said Joseph M. DeCotiis, Co-managing Partner at DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole and Giblin, LLP. “Since joining the firm in 2015, Arlene has distinguished herself as a skilled leader and a trusted counselor to our clients. I join my colleagues on the Executive Committee and throughout the firm in conveying our congratulations to Arlene and her fellow honorees.”

“I’d like to thank Joe and all my colleagues at DeCotiis, as well as my family, for their ongoing support,” said Perez. “I’m humbled to receive this recognition, and I know it wouldn’t be possible without an outstanding and caring team, both at work and at home. I’m grateful to the judges at NJBIZ for their consideration.”

NJBIZ is among the state’s leading business publications. Perez, along with the other 40 Under 40 winners, will be honored at an NJBIZ event in Freehold in September. The full winners list can be found online, at
