HACKENSACK, NJ -- Bergen County Clerk John S. Hogan’s passport division has been acknowledged for their “Best Practices” in offering “Outstanding Customer Service” in passport application reviewing and processing. 

Recently, The National Passport Center’s Office of Acceptance Facility Oversight (AFO) conducted an independent inspection and evaluation of The Bergen County Clerk’s facility and focused highly on the protection of the integrity of the passport issuance process.

Following the inspection, The National Passport Center Acceptance Facility Liaison wrote to Passport BCC Division Supervisor, Liliana Otalvaro:

“Congratulations on the perfect score that Bergen County Clerk’s Office received for the AFO visit.  The AFO analyst had nothing but kind words and praise for you and your facility.  We would especially like to applaud you for the best practices that were noted on the report, most importantly, the fact that you are providing outstanding customer service.”

The BCC's office also received local recognition for providing Gold Star IDs to Bergen County parents whose children were killed while serving the United States armed forces. 

The office of the BCC Passport Division welcomes walk-ins (no appointments are needed). Passport applications are accepted Monday 8:30am to 6:00pm, Tuesday – Thursday 8:30am to 4:30pm and the 2nd Saturday of each month from 9:00am to 1:00pm.  Assistance is provided in multiple languages, including Spanish and Korean.
