HACKENSACK, NJ — The Hackensack Performing Arts Center (HACPAC) has undergone significant renovations that will give it a brand new look. HACPAC recently debuted its new 22-foot marquee above its State Street entrance. Also completed were two interior lobby signs of brushed aluminum.

The planning and design of the project took nearly a year, and were installed this past week. The project was sponsored by Hackensack Meridian Health.

“When we opened HACPAC last year, it was a goal for this venue to become a destination not only for residents of Hackensack but surrounding communities as well to come out to see top-level entertainment,” said Deputy Mayor Kathleen Canestrino. "This beautiful new marquee sends the message that we are achieving that goal. With the growing success of HACPAC, as well as our summer concert and movie series at Atlantic Street Park, summer camps, Splash Park and the ongoing redevelopment, there are more and more reasons for people to continue to move to our great city.”

Deputy Mayor Canestrino said she sees HACPAC's success as part of the city's growth. Since its November opening, a host of musical, theater and comedic acts have appeared at HACPAC, including Roy Wood Jr., Michelle Wolf, Mandy Gonzalez, John Waite and Alyson Williams.

Upcoming events at the HACPAC include five performances of “Fame Jr.” on July 20, 21, 22 and two on July 28, and “Avenue Q” on Sept. 7, 8, 14 and 15.
