HACKENSACK -- The Johnson Public Library is hosting New Jersey Makers Day this Saturday, March 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Members of the public are invited to celebrate maker culture and the joy of creating STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) demonstrations and hands-on activities for all ages throughout the day.

All participants will be entered in a $50 gift card raffle at the end of the day. The complete schedule of events is as follows:

10 - 11 a.m: Catapults: Make & Play (grades 6 & under)
10 - 11 a.m.: Glassware Painting (teens/adults)
11 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Recycled Regatta & Clay Boats (family)
11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.: Mixed Media Art Demo (all ages)
11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.: LED Discovery (teens/adults)
12 - 1 p.m.: Duct Tape Wallets (grades 6 & under)
1 - 2 p.m.: Recycled Regatta & Clay Boats (all ages)
1:30 - 2 p.m.: Group Building Challenge (grades 2 & under) - limited to first 15 participants
1:30 - 3:30 p.m.: Paper Roller Coaster Contest (teens/adults) - registration required (Winner will receive $50 gift card prize)
2 - 2:30 p.m.: Building Contest (grades 3-6) - limited to first 15 participants (Winner will receive $50 gift card prize)
2 - 4 p.m.: Origami (teens/adults)
2:30 - 3 p.m.: Popsicle Harmonica (grades 6 & under)
2:30 - 4 p.m.: Robot Petting Zoo (all ages)
3 - 4 p.m.: Makey Makey (grades 6 & under)
