HACKENSACK, NJ -- New Hope Baptist Church of Hackensack is undergoing a change of leadership, following the retirement of Reverend Dr. M. Frances Manning-Fontaine, and celebrating its new Reverend with a series of guest preachers and community events.

Before New Hope officiallly welcomes its eighth Senior Pastor on April 7, Reverend Dr. Drew Kyndall Ross--who has been leading Sunday services since January--it is hosting a month-long Pastoral Installation Celebration, with rotating guest preachers. 

Last Wednesday saw Rev. Gregory Jackson, Senior Pastor of Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Hackensack, New Jersey, preaching.

Tonight at 7:30pm, Rev. Dr. Vernon C. Walton, Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church
of Vienna, Virginia, will preach, followed next Wednesday at the same time by Rev. Dr. Marilyn M. Harris, Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church, and Rev. Dr. Jerry M. Carter, Jr., Senior Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Morristown, on March 27.

Reverend Dr. Drew Kyndall Ross is a native of Baltimore. He began preaching at age 14. Reverend Dr. Ross’ education includes a Bachelor of Arts from Richmond Virginia Seminary, a Master of Divinity from Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University, and a Doctor of Ministry from Ashland Theology Seminary. Additionally, he is the CEO of Kingdom Graphic Design, a full-service graphic design and marketing company, and the author of Overcome: A 90-Day Jump Start to Developing a Healthy Lifestyle.

"Rev. Ross is a dynamic new young man coming to us from Baltimore, and we want to welcome him with open arms to New Hope Baptist Church," said Allison Harrison, Media Lliason for the Church and a member for 23 years. 

A Celebration Banquet Friday, April 5th at 7:30 pm at the Graycliff in Moonachie.

Installation Morning Service will be Sunday, April 7th at 11 am at New Hope. This Morning Service will feature Rev. Darryl P. Gould, Sr., Pastor of Gillis Memorial. Christian Church of Baltimore, preaching.

An Official Installation Service will be held Sunday, April 7th at 5 pm at Mount Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy C. Baldwin Sr., Pastor of Shiloh Christian Community Church of Baltimore, preaching.
