UPDATE: The community outreach event with the Bergen County Sheriff's Department and Hackensack Police Department scheduled for Thursday, January 21 has been postponed. No new date has been set at this time. The story will be updated when it is rescheduled.

HACKENSACK, NJ - Hackensack residents are invited to a community outreach to meet and be heard by members of the Bergen County Sheriff's Department and Hackensack Police Department on Thursday, January 21.

The “Meet your Neighbor” event is being spearheaded by The Bergen County Sheriff's Department in partnership with the Hackensack Police Department. Residents who live in the south end near the Bergen County Jail are encouraged to come out, address any concerns and ask questions.

The event is being held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at 163 Hudson Street, on the side of Rancho Deli.

Other organization partners include Pastor Ralph Fiorelli and Emmanuel Christian Church, Father Brian and The Church of Saint Anthony of Padua, and The Latino Businesses of Hudson Street.

COVID safety protocols including masks and social distancing will be required for all in attendance.
