TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy announced the latest COVID-19 figures from around the New Jersey during his Tuesday afternoon press conference, where he said he expects additional doses of the COVID vaccine after the new administration takes over the federal roll out after Joe Biden is sworn in on Wednesday.

There were 3,761 new PCR cases reported and 1,039 antigen tests, with 54 new deaths. Statewide, there are now 572,306 positive PCR cases, 63,395 positive antigen cases, and 18,421 deaths, and 2,091 probable COVID-19 fatalities. 

Bergen County Executive James Tedesco announced that there are 55,513 positive cases in the county as of 12 pm Tuesday. According to Tedesco, Hackensack had 3,192. There have been 2,144 deaths in the county, per Tedesco.

According to Murphy, Bergen County still leads the state with the most positive cases with 55,349, followed by Essex (55,198), Middlesex (54,393), Hudson (52,115), Passaic (44,468), with 1,298 under investigation.

Bergen County has the most new cases with 406. Monmouth (371) and Middlesex (5339) and Essex (543) each have over 300 new cases. 

Six counties had over 200 new cases, Ocean (296), Hudson (275), Essex (264), Union (247), Passaic (240), and Morris (207.)  Five counties reported over 100 new cases, Atlantic (175), Camden (168), Gloucester (142), Burlington (140), and Mercer (130.)

As of 10 p.m. Monday, there were 3,506 people hospitalized, 3,287 testing positive and 219 waiting for results. There were 643 patients in ICU and 429 on ventilators.
