Valentines Day at HACPAC: A Tribute to Motown

HACKENSACK -- Couples and singles alike are invited to gather at the Hackensack Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, Feb. 14 for “A Valentine’s Day Tribute to Motown” hosted by Rev. George Maize IV. 

Billed as an evening of “Love, Togetherness & Community” the event starts with a buffet at 5:30 p.m. and includes performances by The Total Eclipse Band with special guest Trusol and Damon Payne at 7 p.m. Total Eclipse covers such legendary artists as Prince, Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, Van Morrison and Kool & The Gang. The local band was formed by Keith and Aubrey Maclin, on trumpet and saxophone. Longtime members Tony Mahone is on bass, Ina Maclin on keyboards, with Craig “C-Dreams” Redmond on drums and vocals, Kelvin Robinson handling lead vocals and the newest addition, Kevin “Ice” Robinson on vocals and lead guitar.

HACKENSACK -- About 100 second grade students at Nellie K. Parker School celebrated the completion of their L.E.A.D. (Law Enforcement Against Drugs) program with a graduation ceremony January 30, 2018 in the school auditorium attended by parents, teachers and Principal Lillian Whitaker, Superintendent Rosemary Marks and Assistant Superintendent Andrea Parchment.
