New Jersey Reports Another Pandemic High in New COVID-19 Cases

NEW JERSEY — The state confirmed another pandemic-high of new COVID-19 cases on Friday.  The State Department of Health says 33,459 new cases were reported - the tenth-straight day over 20,000.  In addition, 63 additional deaths were confirmed.  5,621 people are in New Jersey hospital with COVID-19, a number slightly higher than yesterday.

National Weather Service Issues Sunday Morning Winter Weather Advisory including Icy Roads for Hackensack and North Jersey

HACKENSACK, NJ - The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a Winter Weather Advisory for portions of Northern New Jersey from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sun. Jan. 9. Freezing rain is expected.

Gov. Murphy Announces New Vaccine Requirements; COVID-19 Rate of Transmission Remains Under 1.0

GALLOWAY, NJ — Gov. Phil Murphy announced Wednesday anyone who has a job in a high-risk congregate setting such as a health care, long-term care or correctional facility will have to be vaccinated for COVID-19.

New Jersey's COVID-19 Rate of Transmission Falls Below 1.0

NEW JERSEY — The COVID-19 Rate of Transmission, the measurement of how much the virus is spreading, fell below 1.0 on Tuesday to 0.96.  A number below 1.0 means the outbreak is on the decline, with every infected person spreading COVID-19 to fewer than one additional person, on average.

The State Health Department confirmed 9,073 additional new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday.
