HACKENSACK, N.J. -- A New Jersey Lottery ticket worth $10,000 was sold at Budy's Wine & Liquors in Hackensack during the December 3 drawing, which matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball.
The liquor store on Hudson Street was one of two that sold the third-tier prizewinning ticket (the other ticket was sold at Quick Shop Food Market in Willingboro), James Carey, New Jersey Lottery acting executive director, said in a news release.
The winning numbers for the Tuesday, Dec. 3, drawing were: 23, 43, 60, 63 and 69. The Gold Mega Ball was 19, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 02.
Eighteen other players matched four of the five white balls drawn making each ticket worth $500. Two of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $1,000. Moreover, 36,712 other New Jersey players took home $129,074 in prizes ranging from $2 to $400, according to Carey.
The next drawing will be held on Friday, December 6 at 11 p.m. All New Jersey Lottery Mega Millions tickets must be purchased before 10:45 p.m. to participate in the drawing. Mega Millions tickets are $2; by adding the Megaplier option for an extra dollar per play, players can increase their non-jackpot winnings up to five times. Mega Millions tickets are sold in 46 participating jurisdictions. Drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays. The Mega Millions jackpot has rolled up to $285,000,000.
