HACKENSACK, NJ -- The Hackensack Performing Arts Center (HACPAC) will host a series of performances of “Nunsense” a comedic musical over the next two weekends.

“Nunsense” is a spoof about the misadventures of five nuns trying to manager a fundraiser. Sadly, the rest of the sisterhood died from botulism after eating vichyssoise prepared by Sister Julia. They, the remaining nuns - ballet-loving Sister Leo, streetwise Sister Robert Anne, befuddled Sister Mary Amnesia, the Mother Superior Sister Regina and mistress of the novices Sister Mary Hubert - stage a talent show in order to raise the money to bury their deadly departed.

Performances are scheduled for this Friday, May 3 at 8 p.m., Saturday, May 4 at 8 p.m., Sunday, May 5 at 3 p.m., Friday, May 10 at 8 p.m. and Saturday May 11 at 8 p.m.

Tickets for the two-hour show are $20.
