TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy announced the latest COVID-19 figures from around the New Jersey during his Monday press conference, where he discussed using the honor system with the vaccine registration program.

There were 5,042 new PCR cases reported and 540 antigen tests, with 51 new deaths. Statewide, there are now 532,959 positive PCR cases, and 57,206 positive antigen cases; with 17,873 deaths, and 2,059 probable COVID-19 fatalities. 

According to Murphy, Bergen County leads the state with the most positive cases with 51,777, followed by Essex (51,608), Middlesex (50,516), Hudson (48,715), Passaic (42,565), with 1,448 under investigation.

Middlesex (580) and Ocean (534) counties each had over 500 new cases. Three counties reported over 400 new cases, Hudson (471), Monmouth (451) and Bergen (405.) Three counties reported over 300 new cases, Union (318), Morris (308), and Essex (303.)

Two counties reported over 200 new cases, Passaic (242) and Atlantic (221.)  Five counties reported over 100 new cases, Burlington (198), Camden (193), Mercer (149), Somerset (132), and Gloucester (113.)

As of 10 p.m.Sunday, there were 3,653 people hospitalized, 3,402 testing positive and 251 awaiting test results. There were 649 patients in ICU and 438 on ventilators.
