HACKENSACK, NJ -- A new year brings new decisions. On January 8, the Hackensack High School Guidance Department hosted a trio of Decision Days that was well attended by more than 100 students who are getting the ball rolling on their college applications. 

Enrollment Specialists from Bergen Community College were on-hand to provide an information session and help students complete their applications to their desired institutions.
The following week, the Guidance Department hosted its Second Annual 4-Year College and University Instant Decision Day. Admission counselors from 17 colleges and universities were in attendance to meet with students and offer them admission decisions. Representatives from the following colleges were in attendance: Bergen Community College; Berkeley College; Bloomfield College; Caldwell University; Dominican College; Drew University; Felician University; Iona College; Johnson and Wales University; Kean University; Monmouth University; New Jersey City University; New Jersey Institute of Technology; Ramapo College; Seton Hall University; St. Peter's University; Stockton University; University of New Haven; and William Paterson University.  

A total of 178 acceptances were offered to students and many of the schools were able to provide scholarship offers to admitted students totaling $3.7 million over the next four years.
