Hackensack, N.J. -- Bergen County participated in the Project Homeless Connect Point-in-Time survey Wednesday at the Bergen County Housing, Health and Human Services Center.

The annual daylong nationwide event is organized so partner agencies and volunteers can come together to help provide access to services for those struggling with homelessness by fostering collaboration between non-profit, public, private and individual volunteers.

Individuals experiencing homelessness, or who may be at risk of homelessness, received a variety of support services such as information on housing, benefits, legal and social services, substance abuse counseling, mental health support, medical services, food, clothing, free hairstyling and grooming, veterans and employment services.
