HACKENSACK, NJ -- Hackensack Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, March 4, in anticipation of the final, most violent leg of the weekend-long snowstorm. Hackensack schools announced the closure at approximately 7:30pm Sunday night, via social media.

With the snowfall from Friday and Saturday nights finally melting, a final snowfall is expected to begin before midnight, with 5 to 8 inches expected to fall through 7 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Governor Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency earlier in the day, as snow from Saturday night and Sunday morning had deteriorated conditions on local and state roads.
