HACKENSACK, N.J. -- A city man is facing charges after investigators say he allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with a juvenile.

According to a press release from the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, city police arrested Luis Gonzalez, 60, on Friday, September 18 after an investigation by the Office's Special Victims Unit and the Hackensack Police Department received information that he had “engaged in sexual penetration with a juvenile who was under the age of 13 in Hackensack.”

Gonzalez was charged with one count of Aggravated Sexual Assault, a first-degree crime; one count of Sexual Assault by Sexual Contact, a second-degree crime; and one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a third-degree crime.

He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
