HACKENSACK, N.J. -- An 18-year-old city man who police say has been arrested multiple times has been arrested once again and charged with resisting arrest and robbery charges following a foot chase on the heels of his alleged robbery at The River Edge Diner.
According to a news release from the Hackensack Police Department, Detectives John Mora and Sgt. Francesco Tripodi were looking for Denys Ludizaca after the River Edge Police Department issued a warrant for his arrest following a robbery that took place at the Kinderkamack Road diner on February 29 during which an employee was injured. The police department did not specify what Ludizaca allegedly robbed.
Detective Mora recognized the culprit given his extensive arrest record. Once police ordered him to stop, Ludizaca ran away, sprinting through yards and hopping fences before Patrol Officer Daniel Francavilla and Patrol Sgt. John Knapp spotted him hiding beneath a car of a rental unit in a Union Street parking lot, and arrested him.
City police charged Ludizaca with Resisting Arrest, a 4th degree crime before he was turned over to the River Edge Police Department for the robbery charges.
