HACKENSACK, N.J. — City firefighters rescued two workers who were stuck in the bucket of a boom truck for two hours on Vincent Avenue at 11:30 this morning.

The men — who were not identified — were working on the Teterboro billboard above the Crow’s Nest Restaurant in the parking lot at 139 Vincent Ave. They were perched 30 feet in the air from around 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. when their colleagues saw they were stuck and phoned the Hackensack Fire Department to rescue them. The workers were assisted down via the stick of Ladder 1, Fire Captain Justin Derevyanik said.

It was determined that the bucket truck malfunctioned while the men were working.

The workers were evaluated by members of the Hackensack EMS and refused further treatment.
