HACKENSACK- Looking for a career change or career improvement? Residents are
encouraged to attend two upcoming job fairs in Aug. The anticipated American Dream
shopping and entertainment complex opens in East Rutherford in Oct.
Interviews are happening on Aug. 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church
located at 260 Central Avenue in Hackensack.
“The American Dream promises to bring shoppers and guests from all over New Jersey, New
York and Connecticut, and will create hundreds of good jobs for all members of our community,”
said Hackensack Mayor, John Labrosse.
The Bergen Chapter of the NAACP is sponsoring the event and will allow community members
to meet with American Dream leadership about exciting career opportunities.
According to Labrosse, here are examples of jobs that will be at the American Dream job fair:
engineering; maintenance; security; parking; traffic; guest services; theme park-ride operators;
technicians and supervisors.
“I encourage any Hackensack residents looking for opportunities for themselves or friends to
visit the American Dream hiring event this Saturday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church from 9:00 a.m.
to 1:00 p.m., he said.”
A second hiring event is Aug. 27 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at 113 Engle St., Englewood
from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00pm.
