TRENTON, NJ - Santa may find himself on the naughty list this year after being arrested Tuesday and charged with several counts including drugs and weapons offenses.

According to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri, Confessor Santa, 29, Trenton, was arrested along with his girlfriend, Victoria Simms, 26, Trenton, after a two-month investigation.

The report reads that on the night of the arrest detectives with the Mercer County Narcotics Task Force initiated surveillance of Santa, as well as two residences he utilizes in Trenton. Detectives also conducted a motor vehicle stop of Santa at the intersection of Brunswick Avenue and Heath Street in Trenton, detaining both him and Simms.

During searches related to the investigation detectives, as well as Mercer County Prosecutor’s Sergeant Joe Angarone and his K9 partner Bela, located 99 bricks of heroin and 10 grams of cocaine on the staircase leading to the basement at 718 Ohio Avenue, and 10 grams of cocaine, as well as a .45 caliber handgun, in Santa’s bedroom at 200 Pennington Avenue. The drugs are said to have been valued at a more than $25,000. Cash totaling $1,980 was also seized.  

Santa is being held at the Mercer County Correction Center pending a detention hearing while Simms, 26, charged with second-degree narcotics offenses and endangering the welfare of a child, was released pending future court appearances.
