ROBBINSVILLE, NJ -- Motorists traveling in both directions on Route 130 in Robbinsville on Thursday  found themselves detoured off of the highway between Woodside Road and Sharon Road for more than an hour and a half.

According to multiple sources a dump truck working at the Dodge/Jeep dealership, which is currently under construction, was laying asphalt as part of road construction. When the truck left the scene, "in (his) haste, he forgot to put down his lift," someone familiar with the incident said. As a result, the truck hit overhead utility wires along the northbound lanes on Route 130 taking out part of a telephone pole which acted like a "slingshot" across the highway, hitting and breaking a pole in the southbound lane.

No injuries occurred as a result of the incident. The driver of the dump truck will be cited for careless driving.
