ROBBINSVILLE, NJ -- It's been a busy and tough year for many families. So, the Robbinsville Township School District and Recreation Department want local families to take the Night Off on Wednesday. The schools will not be giving out homework, and families are encouraged to eat-in or take-out from one of the local restaurants or take part in one of many family-based activities.
Almost every Robbinsville Township eatery is taking part in Night Off so there's no need to cook or clean.
Instead, families are encouraged to spend time together helping to give back to others. For instance, a family that donates $25 to The One Project will receive a package delivered right to their homes for them to package 20 snack bags for Homefront. ONEProject also will pick up the prepared snack bags. Similarly, a $7.50 donation to Project Linus will cover the cost of a no-sew fleece blanket for the local non-profit that gives blankets to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets/afghans.
Local Robbinsville businesses such as Forever Hart Fit, Code Ninjas, Painting with a Twist, and Four Peas and a Dog are all hosting various events for families. In addition, there also are plenty events happening on Wednesday night at the Robbinsville Police Station, Fire Department, and Library for families to see first-hand how the town is served.
