HAMILTON, NJ -- The heaviest of the rain and winds from Tropical Storm Isaias began to subside early afternoon on Tuesday. However, the fast-moving storm caused significant power outages to the area as well as downed trees and power lines.
As of 1:00 pm, Hamilton Township reported that an estimated 12,962 area locations were without power. In addition, both the Hamilton Township Municipal Building and Public Works Department were without power.
Should Hamiltonians need immediate assistance, contact the HAMStat Call Center at (609) 586-0311.
In Robbinsville, less than 100 residents are out of power as of approximately 1:00 pm. Fires caused by downs wires have been placed under control.
However, one home on Windsor Road had a tree strike their home. Allens Road should be avoided since a tree is across the road.
Robbinsville Police reminded residents to only use 9-1-1 for emergencies only. Power outages should be reported to respective power companies.
