HAMILTON, NJ - Two Hamilton teenagers were arrested Saturday in connection with a robbery they were allegedly involved in during daylight hours on Thursday, February 20. A third teenager from Trenton was arrested Wednesday.
According to Hamilton Police Detective Sgt. Geoffrey Neilson, the incident took place at approximately 12:33 p.m. in the area of the 1000 block of Klockner Road. Neilson reported that a man wearing a hoody pulled over his head, along with two other suspects, exited a vehicle and chased the juvenile victim on foot.
Once they caught the victim, the report stated, the suspects struck him in the back of the head with what appeared to be a handgun, knocking him to the ground where they continued to assault him. After taking the victim’s cell phone and other personal belongings the suspects fled the scene.
Members of the Hamilton Police Divison’s Anti-Crime unit made the first two arrests, including of Kyree Mitchell, 18, during a motor vehicle stop, with third arrest coming Wednesday after an investigation.
All three suspects have been charged with Robbery, Aggravated Assault, and weapons charges.
