HAMILTON, NJ -- Two individuals who were standing on a street corner suffered serious injuries after being struck in a hit-an-run accident Tuesday morning reported the Hamilton Township Police Department (HTPD).  At approximately 9:12 am on Tuesday, the two individuals were standing on the southwest corner of Norway Avenue and East State Street when a 2013 black Honda Civic four-door struck them.

According to HTPD, the Honda was traveling east when it veered off the roadway and onto the sidewalk of East State Street and struck the two pedestrians. The vehicle then continued across Norway Avenue, drove through a wrought iron fence, and into the parking lot of Global Painting located at 1517 East State Street. It also struck two vans parked in the lot.

After the collision, the driver of the Honda and the passenger fled the scene on foot.
