ROBBINSVILLE, NJ -- The Robbinsville Police Department has asked members of the public to come forward with any information in connection with a series of motor vehicle related incidences that are said to have taken place in the overnight hours Tuesday. While in one instance a vehicle was stolen, according to a statement, the unknown person(s) removed mostly cash and coins from other vehicles parked in the area.
“We have increased patrols throughout the Township effective last night,” Mayor and Director of Public Safety Dave Fried said. “Robbinsville remains one of the safest towns in the state, but the motto remains the same: If you see something, say something.”
The incidents are reportedly isolated to a small section of Town Center including: The Lofts Parking Lot at 2350 Route 33; The first block of North Commerce Square; Union Street near Robbinsville Edinburg Road; the 900 Block of Robbinsville Edinburg Road; the 100 Block of Heritage Street; and the 1200 Block of Park Street.
Anyone in the immediate area that has surveillance cameras or may have observed something is encouraged to contact Robbinsville Police Department Detective Sergeant Adrian Markowski at (609) 259-3900.
The Police Department reminded residents to always remove their key fobs from all vehicles and lock their car doors at all times and report any suspicious activity to RTPD immediately.
