HAMILTON, NJ -- The Easter Bunny will be hopping on top of a Mercerville Fire Department truck on Saturday and Sunday to wish families a Happy Easter and pay tribute to Doctors, Nurses, Technicians, Lab personnel, Therapists, EMT'S, Paramedics, Pharmacists, and all health care professionals who are doing so much to keep the community safe.
The Bunny will be traveling through neighborhoods east of Quakerbridge Road and Whitehorse-Mercerville Road on Saturday beginning at 10:00 am and the neighborhoods to the west of the same roads on Sunday morning also beginning at 10:00 am.
To keep the Easter Bunny and Firefighters safe, please remain on your home's front porch as fire crews must maintain social distancing.
Earlier this week, in a letter to the children of Hamilton, Mayor Jeff Martin assured residents that he had recently spoken to the Easter Bunny. He said the Easter Bunny "asked me to let you know that he has been very busy preparing for Easter.
"During his travels from home to home this year, he promises to continue to wash his paws, just like you are washing your hands, and not interact with anyone outside of his immediate family," wrote Martin. "So, I am very happy to report that the Easter Bunny has been given permission to visit your home with his annual Easter drop-offs.
"Although things may be a little different this Easter, I know that you will be understanding with any changes that the Easter Bunny had to make," Martin added.
