HAMILTON, NJ ---  A Hamilton home that attracts hundreds of visitors during the Christmas season will be showcased on a popular national holiday television show, in 2020, the family announced via Facebook. 

Martel's Christmas Wonderland will participate in the ABC show "The Great American Light Fight" which features homes across the country that pride themselves on over-the-top, extreme holiday decorations. Winners of the competition are eligible for a cash prize and the "Light Fight Trophy."

In a social media post, the Martel family confirmed rumors that the festive home had been chosen to participate in the wildly popular holiday show.   The family shared the news by saying:

"We are so excited and happy to finally announce that we were chosen to be a participant on the Great Christmas Light Fight although our episode will not air until December 2020. This was such a heartfelt amazing experience we can not put into words how thankful our family is. First, we want to thank our community, friends and family for supporting us all these years and giving us a reason to do the display from all the smiles, tears, and heart felt moments.

"We also want to give a huge thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the Great Christmas Light Fight team from the directors, producers, judge Taniya Nayak, and filming teams it was such an amazing experience that we will never forget and our family was recognized for all the hard work we have done. According to the Martel family their home will remain decorated this year until New Year's Day. Martel's Christmas Wonderland is located at 21 Phillips Ave in Hamilton and is open seven days a week, weather permitting.
