HAMILTON, NJ - For nearly 80 years, the Carella family has been bringing comfort to the Hamilton community through chocolate. And now, with families being forced to hunker down in their homes, schools closed, and many businesses shutting their doors temporarily due to the coronavirus pandemic, they want their customers to know that hasn’t changed.
With the Easter holiday in just a few weeks, Connie Carella also told TAPinto Hamilton/Robbinsville that they are hoping to help the Easter Bunny to keep hopping.
"We are very worried about the Easter Bunny and all the kids that might be disappointed without him. So, we are doing our best to help people fill their baskets," said Carella. "We can put together some Easter goodies based on a price point or how many children you are giving the treats to. "We want all of our customers to know that we are going to be here as long as we can."
“Chocolate is a comfort food in times of stress,” said Carella's in a message to their customers on Facebook.
For those that don’t want to leave home Carellas will take orders over the phone, and their online shop can be found by clicking here. Carella's will even make deliveries right to someone’s front porch or, for those that need a brief respite from the four walls of their home, their car. Gift certificates are also available.
“This community is a part of us, and we wish you all to be safe. We will get through this together,” Carella continued.
Carella's Chocolates is located at 2503 Nottingham Way -- phone (609) 586-5136 - with hours during the coronavirus outbreak of Monday through Saturday 10:00 am until 5:00 pm and Sunday 11:00 am until 4:00 pm.
