ROBBINSVILLE, NJ -- As a local store focused on healthy pets and specialty options, Robbinsville's The Healthy Animal is hoping to bring pets and families together. That's why they are holding a dog adoption event this weekend and regularly host cat adoption days.
Robert Walling, co-owner of The Healthy Animal, said that they reach out to various pet adoption groups in the region to provide a venue for adoption events.
"We help to find cats and dogs forever homes as a way to give back to the community as much as we can," said Walling, who is a pet nutritionist.
The Healthy Animal is partnering with the Animal Alliance of Lambertville to host a dog adoption event on Sunday, September 13 between 12 noon and 2:00pm. Dogs of all ages and breeds will be excited to meet their forever families.
The store also co-hosts a cat adoption every other weekend with the Trenton Cat Rescue. So far, they have helped 138 cats join happy families. The next cat adoption event will be held on September 19 between 12 noon and 4:00pm.
