HAMILTON, NJ -- The Hamilton Township Animal Shelter and Adoption Center will be holding its first rabies clinic of the year. The Township's free rabies clinic strives to protect local cat and dog that are at least three months old.
The free rabies clinic will be held on Saturday, January 9 between 9:00am and 1:00pm at the McManimon Recreation Center located at 320 Scully Ave in Hamilton. Participants need to call (609) 890-3550 to reserve a time slot. Vaccines will be provided to one animal per person.
In addition, dogs must be on a leash no longer than six feet and cats must be in a carrier. All attendees must wear a mask or face covering.
Attendees are asked to bring proof of a previous shot to be issued a three-year certificate. If not, a one-year certificate will be issued. New Jersey State Department of Health’s Policy states no dog license can be issued if their rabies immunization expires before November 2021
