ROBBINSVILLE, NJ -- Making new summer camp memories will be postponed until next year for local kid campers. The Robbinsville Recreation Division announced "with great regret" Friday that they have cancelled their summer Day Camp.
Noting that this year has been "difficult" for everyone, the Recreation Division said that "new rules and regulations due to the COVID-19 pandemic have forced (them) to work harder than ever, with an even greater emphasis on safety and an abundance of caution."
The Recreation Division was preparing to open the popular summer camp this year. However, registration for the 2020 Summer Day Camp was at "an all-time low." The team said that they understand that many of the families in Robbinsville have chosen not to send their children to camp during the current pandemic.
Families who have already signed their children up for camp via credit card will be refunded in the next week for the full amount paid for all the weeks registered.
Anyone with questions about the summer camp or other recreation program, can contact the Recreation team at (609) 259-3600 ext. 1132 or email email@example.com. The Recreation offices are now located at the former Miry Run Golf Course property now owned by the Township.
