HAMILTON, NJ --  Hamilton Avenue will be closed beginning on Monday, August 3 for approximately three weeks of road work (weather permitting) for improvements.  The work being done by Mercer County on CR-606, better known as Hamilton Ave., will closed in the area between Cypress Lane and Newkirk Avenue.

The road work will consist of two phases.  The first phase will include milling and paving Hamilton Ave. between Cypress Lane and Kuser Road which will include closure of the road for through traffic.  Motorists will be detoured to used Cypress Lane, Whitehorse-Mercerville Road, and Kuser Road. 

In the second phase, the same work will be done on Hamilton Ave. but between Kuser Road and Kewkirk Ave.   During that time, motorists will be detoured to Newkirk Ave., Leonard Ave. and Kuser Rd.

Road work and detours will be in effect Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 3:30 pm.    Local road access will be limited to local businesses, residents, service and emergency vehicles.  

Parking on Hamilton Ave. during construction hours will be prohibited.
