MERCER COUNTY, NJ -- Mercer County is now accepting applications from residents who need help paying for their energy bills. Beginning on October 1, the County began enrolling residents in the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) as well as the Universal Service Fund (USF) for residents who pay their own heating expenses and need help paying their winter heating bills.

NJ Human Services Providing an Additional $42.4 Million More in Food Assistance

TRENTON, NJ  –  Many New Jerseyans who receive food assistance through the state’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (NJ SNAP) will receive additional benefits in October to help address critical food needs related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
