HAMILTON, NJ --  With the ongoing need for critical Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at local hospitals caring for coronavirus patients, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 269 and their membership came together to donate masks and goggles to five Mercer County hospitals Wednesday.

Wayne DeAngelo, president and assistant business manager of IBEW, and Stephen Aldrich, business manager of IBEW, led the effort to purchase, coordinate and deliver 12,000 masks and goggles. They also delivered sticky buns as a sweet treat for hospital staff.

“The men and women in our hospitals and medical facilities have been working day in and day out to keep our community healthy in this tough time,” said DeAngelo, who also serves as an assemblyman from the 14th Legislative District, "We need to back them up in this fight any way we can and show our appreciation, and we thank the members of IBEW Local 269 for their generosity at this time.”
