ROBBINSVILLE, NJ -  Members of the Robbinsville Police Department put down their razors and let their beards grow in for a good cause throughout November. The normally clean-shaven police force participated in the annual No-Shave November for cancer awareness.  They also enjoyed a bit of friendly competition between themselves to see who could grow the "Best Beard."

Each officer who participated donated $100 to Thea's Star of Hope to help fund research and support for families impacted pediatric brain cancer. The organization was started by the family of Robbinsville's Thea Danzie who was diagnosed at just four months old with a brain tumor.  Now, almost 13 years later, Thea's story has inspired many to support pediatric brain cancer research and treatment.

Voting for the police officer with the "Best Beard" is open until Saturday, December 7 at 6:00 pm via the Robbinsville Police Department Facebook Page .  The officer with the most Facebook "likes" on their individual picture will win the annual honor and beard-bragging rights.
